Take A Glance at the New Louis V’s!

When it comes to luxury brands, few are as synonomous with the term as Louis Vuitton. Taking a brief glance at his offerings for Fall 2011 will quickly reveal why this brand is still one of the most sought after all over the world. If you are a fan of high heels, which is a reasonable assumption since you’re reading this, you will undoubtedly be blown away by the sheer sexiness and mystery of the shoe collection for Fall.My favorite is the blue suede sandal with the HAWT beaded accent on the back of the shoe–say it with me–FAB-U-LOUS! As a playful touch, these Gold and Crimson heels have a special element to the design. You have to look carefully, but notice that the back of the shoe is actually a Zebra…love quirkly touches like that! The Oriental design of the wedge heels is accented by gorgeous black crystals and a suede ankle tie, and are the essence of the Vuitton mystique. I’ll have to do another post soon on the purses from the 2011 Fall line…they absolutely deserve the spotlight ALL to themselves!

Sneak Peek-Christian Louboutin Fall 2011

No wonder Christian Louboutin’s name is synonymous with wicked shoe game. If you were starting to tire of the spiked trend, perhaps you’ll change your tune after taking a gander at these babies! These glitzy pumps have a little disco meets punk rocker vibe to me, and I absolutely love the graduated colors of the Swarovski crystals.

The gold is the perfect contrast for theses colors, and these pumps would add needed edge to a boring wardrobe. The heels are ultra high, and super sexy, which is a Louboutin trademark. This is our first peek at his collection for the upcoming Fall/Winter season, and I am loving what I see so far!

Prada Python MaryJane Boots

I must admit that when I first saw the Mary Jane boots from Prada in tan/red, I wasn’t exactly thrilled.  I know many people are in love with any and everything  Prada, but I just wasn’t convinced.  The python version has brought me on board.  Snakeskin is always a bonus, no matter the item, I just love the exotic look and feel.  These boots are daring, and demure all at the same time.  If you are the type of girl who likes to make a statement, then these Python Mary Jane boots are going to help you capture the spotlight.

Viktor & Rolf Spring 2011

I can’t exactly say that the trend toward chunky heels this spring is my favorite, but there are a few designers who take this look and make it easier to love. Viktor & Rolf for instance, have elevated the simple loafer to something sublime, by adding a tall, thick heel paired with supple patent leather in eyecatching shades. Yes, there is still a lot of shoe, but they are sexy instead of clunky and the colors are feminine and lively. The peep toe loafer is my absolute favorite, and I think the mint green pair are very interesting, if not exactly for me.

Diane Von Furstenberg Spring 2011

Diane Von Furstenburg Spring 2011

Not long ago, Yvan Mispelaere took over the helm as creative director for Diane von Furstenberg (DVF). For DVF spring 2011, the first collection under Mispelaere’s watch, there was much anticipation to see what direction he would take. Mispelaere who previously worked stints at Gucci, Lanvin, and Valentino, did not disappoint.

DVF Spring 2011

Rich, vibrant colors, a staple at most DVF shows took center stage. Twisted rope platforms had an Asian inspired feel to me and were my favorite. The heels with their laquered gold finishes and geometric lines, in keeping with the trend toward chunkier, more substantial heels, were fantastic. Not much to not love about DVF this Spring, and I look forward to seeing where Mispelaere will take things next.

Christian Louboutin is a Sadist (but I love him)

If you’re going to sport smooshy Ugg boots, don’t wear them around Christian Louboutin.  He recently told the New Yorker “I hate the concept of comfort.”   While I don’t share Mr. Louboutin’s disdain for comfort, I certainly can appreciate the pure sex appeal of sky high heels.  When I want to feel sexy, and exude confidence, nothing does it better than a pair of stilettos.  Fashion is pain people!  In honor of Mr. Louboutin, here are a few of my sky high favorites from his Spring 2011 line.

Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer 2011

Marc Jacobs continues the trend toward the chunky heel.  These are edgy, yet still feminine and I love the bold colors.  The great thing about chunky heels is that there is lots of support, and these look comfy.  I adore the feather details and floral accents.
